HsinchuWork visit to Hsinchu, Taiwan |
| Detroit |
In January 2007, John and I went to Taiwan to run a workshop and do some server setup for work. So naturally, the first pictures I have to show are from Detroit. Our flights went from Pittsburgh to Detroit, Detroit to Osaka, and Osaka to Taipei. Only in Detroit did we get to wander, and were stunned by the tunnel connecting two terminals...

The view from our hotel room

Walking the street was a learning experience -- note the speed of the traffic, and that I am currently standing two feet away from where you actually have to walk!

Haven't seen these Doritos in the U.S., have you?!
| NCTU |
Our workshop was held at the National Chiao Tung University in Hsinchu. Here are some photos I took of the campus

Our hosts also took us around downtown after a wonderful dinner!

Count the McDonald's signs... there's only one restaurant in the photo!
