The Saturday after the workshop, our gracious host (and it seems part time tour guide!) took John and I up to Taipei to see some of the sights.

Although I of course couldn't photograph the amazing treasures inside (many thousands of years old), even the buildings were impressive

This garden is just outside the museum

In Taiwan, the walk signs as well as many traffic lights have timers to tell you how long you have either to walk or to wait for the light change. The best part of the walk signs is that an animated figure walks, then runs when time is short!
